Currently serving as Project Manager for Exhibitions and Design at the National Constitution Center, Beth Van Why has been teaching professional practice in the graphic design program at Drexel University since 2011. Additionally, she has taught in museum studies, industrial design, architecture, and multimedia programs throughout the city of Philadelphia. Beth’s professional background includes experiences with a wide variety of projects, relying on skills ranging from architecture to book production to grant writing. Before joining the National Constitution Center in 2011, Beth spent five years working as a core member of the DesignPhiladelphia leadership team, serving as Programming Director from 2009 through 2011. Her passion, commitment, and enthusiasm were critical to growing the program to become the largest festival of its kind in the United States. Beth has received her Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech (2000) and Masters of Industrial Design from the University of the Arts (2006).
