Colantuono is Founder and CEO of Leading Women, founder of the Women’s Institute for leadership at Bryant University and architect of Lifespan’s Center for Leadership Excellence. She is also the author of "No Ceiling, No Walls: What women haven’t been told about leadership from career-start to the corporate boardroom."
Colantuono has been a pioneer in delivering leadership development and diversity and inclusion solutions to organizations across a range of industries and sectors. Through interventions as diverse as the launch of women’s initiatives to facilitating executive strategy on diversity and inclusion, her expertise has benefited organizations including Marriott (all divisions including international), the CIA, Exxon (including their top 500 global executives), Pfizer, Wawa, Corn Products, Campbells and the State of Connecticut.
Colantuono has delivered cutting edge career and leadership development programming for women (and men) in organizations including Abbot Labs, Amgen, Bank Newport, BCBSRI, Burger King, Gilbane, GTECH, Choice Hotels, GTECH, Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, Kent Hospital, Prudential Retirement, Sensata, Sunoco. In 2008, Providence Business News named her Business Woman Ally/Mentor of the Year.
She is a member of the executive coaching faculty for Linkage’s Global Institute for Leadership Development. She recently developed the year-long, software-supported strategy execution program for The Five Star Institute and has consulted on strategy development and execution to a number of organizations on including Cranston ARC, Citadel Communication, Mahr Federal, Baylor Surgical Hospital, Westin and McKesson.
She is PINK Magazine’s expert blogger on networking. She has published numerous articles on leadership/management and is the author of two books – Build Your Career - a guide for using the job you have to get the job you want was featured in Money magazine and hailed as “a comprehensive guide for charting your career”. Her book, Make Room for JOY! has been described as “heartware and software for the soul.” She is the past State Director for the Rhode Island State Council of SHRM and served as its Director for Professional Development.
Colantuono is an internationally recognized expert on Paso Fino horses. She works, writes, plays and lives with her son on the Rhode Island shore where they are owned by a horse and a cat.
