A passion for politics lured Stephanie Coronado to Washington D.C. in 2008 to work for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Starting as an unpaid intern, she quickly earned a coveted staff position on the campaign’s Internet team.
That experience strengthened Coronado’s commitment to serving her community. Since 2010, she has worked has a staff assistant to Pima County Attorney Barbara LaWall. Between handling media calls, organizing events and redesigning the County Attorney website, she oversaw the office’s popular “Prosecution Academy,” an 8-week course aimed at familiarizing community members with law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
Coronado is a Tucson native whose family roots in southern Arizona stretch back generations. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in political science. She serves as president of the Arizona Women’s Political Caucus and is a member of the board of directors for Planned Parenthood of Arizona.
