Nichole R. Owens, of Chicago, IL, is the Manager of Technical Services in Engineering and Project Management responsible for several areas within the Distribution Operations and Engineering area. She develops and maintains the Distribution Mapping & Records for the ComEd electrical systems and leverages technology such as GIS to improve depiction and accuracy of electrical facilities. Owens also develops and maintains the annual distribution work plan designed to strategically meet customer requests, system reliability, capacity expansion and system aligned to the financial commitments of ComEd.
ComEd is a unit of Chicago-based Exelon Corporation. ComEd delivers electricity to approximately 3.8 million residential and business customers across northern Illinois, or 70 percent of the state’s population.

Owens joined ComEd in 1999, after completing several years of internships in the Public Relations and Marketing area, she accepted a full time position at ComEd upon completing her undergraduate studies.
Prior to Owens current position, she served in a diverse selection of positions including the Executive Assistant to ComEd’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Program Manager of Emergency Preparedness in Distribution Operations across Exelon, Engineering and Project Management Manager.
Nichole is currently the Distribution Operations Manager for ComEd in Chicago that is responsibility for the safe operations of the distribution grid, premiere customer experience, and budget controls and oversight.
She has served on the board of directors as President of St. Agatha Family Empowerment (S.A.F.E.); a non-for profit organization that support after school, summer activities, and mentoring for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade on the Westside of Chicago. In Exelon, she was also a charter member for the Network of Exelon Women (NEW) an organization within Exelon. NEW is an employee network group with a membership base of women and men employees across ComEd’s parent company Exelon. She also is on the leadership team of MEA (Midwest Energy Association) Energetic Women.
Nichole has B.S. From University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a MBA from Kellstadt (DePaul University) with a concentration in Finance/Financial Management Control.
Owens is married with one son and two step-daughters to Kelvin Owens who live in the Chicago land area.
