Nichole R. Owens, of Chicago, IL, is the Manager of Technical Services in Engineering and Project Management responsible for several areas within the Distribution Operations and Engineering area. Owens joined ComEd in 1999, after completing several years of internships in the Public Relations and Marketing area, she accepted a full time position at ComEd upon completing her undergraduate studies.
Prior to her current position, she served in a diverse selection of positions including the Executive Assistant to ComEd’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Program Manager of Emergency Preparedness in Distribution Operations across Exelon, Engineering and Project Management Manager.
Nichole is currently the Distribution Operations Manager for ComEd in Chicago that is responsibility for the safe operations of the distribution grid, premiere customer experience, and budget controls and oversight.
She has served on the board of directors as President of St. Agatha Family Empowerment (S.A.F.E.); a non-for profit organization that support after school, summer activities, and mentoring for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade on the Westside of Chicago. In Exelon, she was also a charter member for the Network of Exelon Women (NEW) an organization within Exelon. NEW is an employee network group with a membership base of women and men employees across ComEd’s parent company Exelon. She also is on the leadership team of MEA (Midwest Energy Association) Energetic Women.
Nichole has B.S. From University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a MBA from Kellstadt (DePaul University) with a concentration in Finance/Financial Management Control.
Nichole is married with one son and two step-daughters to Kelvin Owens who live in the Chicago land area.
