Wood is an entrepreneur, writer, real estate investor, artist and activist. She owns several businesses including a fine art gallery in Palisade, Colorado. She is the author of Botticelli’s Women, a novel, and award winning photographer. Inspired by the Women’s Suffrage as a teen, Wood has been active in several local and national political campaigns and served as a community organizer for Organizing for America.
Raised in an entrepreneurial family, Wood has more than 20 years of hands-on business experience which she shares with other female entrepreneurs through Intuitive Business Counseling by which she encourages authentic feminine expression in leadership. She serves as the Chair of the Joy of Children public sculpture project and spends much or her time volunteering for community and charitable organizations that speak to her heart including the Mesa Land Trust, Citizens for Smart Growth, the Humane Society and several other animal rights groups. She has been a volunteer on-air programmer for KAFM Community Radio since 2003. She is a leader in the local business community and served as Chair of the Palisade Tourism Advisory Board.
Wood is a graduate of the University of Oregon with a B.A. in Art History. Her passion for art history has lead her to travel internationally for over 20 years, especially in Italy where she offers guided tours sharing her expertise on the Italian Renaissance.
