Cynde H. Munzer, of Chicago, IL, is a partner in the Business Organizations and Transactions Group of Aronberg Goldgehn Davis & Garmisa. Munzer serves as a trusted legal advisor to several of the area’s major publicly held corporations and financial institutions. Her clients also include middle market businesses and emerging and smaller corporations.
Munzer was a Co-Chair of the Chicago Host Committee for Vision 2020’s Second National Congress in 2010. She is also the Chairman of the Board and Past President of the Chicago Chapter of the American Technion Society, which supports Technion University. She is the first woman to serve in these roles. She is a member of the Executive Leadership team of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women Leadership” initiative. Munzer is the recipient of the prestigious Woman of Achievement Award by the Anti-Defamation League for her outstanding achievements in the legal profession and her leadership efforts and accomplishments in the business and charitable communities. She is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners (Chicago chapter). Prior to entering private practice, Munzer served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert Chapman Buckley, Justice of the Illinois Appellate Court. Before practicing law, she worked as a broadcast journalist.
Cynde is grateful for having been able to build her career while raising two children. Through her involvement in the above-mentioned women’s business-related organizations and activities, she hopes to make it less challenging for the coming generations of women to rise through the ranks while raising a family. Her favorite activity outside of the office these days is to cheer on her daughter, a point guard on the Yale women’s basketball team, in the team’s quest for the Ivy League crown.
