Drexel offers over 220 student clubs and organizations promoting everything from shared interests to professional development to cultural awareness. In other words, "student life" happens all over campus. Whatever you're into, there's probably already a club for it, but if there isn't, we encourage you to start one yourself. You're sure to find a bunch of other students who want to be a part of it.

Alicia Chew is very active in her sorority. She just can't tell you which one. That's because she's also the vice president of recruitment for Drexel's Panhellenic Council.
The Panhellenic Council is the student organization that helps match new students with the perfect sorority for them. They do this through a series of events including a block party, open houses, and even a secret balloting process (which is why she can't reveal her affiliation until after this year's recruitment season).
Of course, Greek life isn't all ritual and formality. "It's basically like an extended family," Alicia says.
When she joined her sorority, she was assigned a big sister, and now that she knows the ropes, she's got a little sister of her own. It's fun, but also helpful — her sorority helped her find fun things to do on campus and even which classes to pick, and her big sister helped set her up with a co-op at Seventeen magazine.
Alicia says her favorite thing about Greek Life, aside from having a ready-made community, is the way it helps you get involved. Her house requires her to take part in at least two other activities. Alicia is an Orientation leader and a member of the Drexel Dance Ensemble. She also volunteers with a Girl Scout troop at a local elementary school.
Drexel isn't one of those schools where you'll be left out in the cold if you don't join a fraternity or sorority. After all, there are more than 220 organizations on campus. But Greek life is one more way to delve deeper into campus life and make lifelong friends as you do it.
