For the seventh consecutive year, Drexel has been ranked in the category of Best National Universities in “America's Best Colleges” by U.S.News & World Report. The University placed 88th overall in the 2010 rankings, a jump of 1 place from 2009 and the second time Drexel has reached the top 100.
Drexel also ranked fourth among national universities in the first U.S. News list of “Schools to Watch,”ranking the nation's top “up-and-coming schools.” The magazine asked university administrators nationwide to name schools that have demonstrated "the most promising and innovative changes in academics, faculty, students, campus, or facilities,” and Drexel was near the top of the list.
Drexel and Penn are the only Philadelphia universities ranked in the top 100 by U.S. News, joined by Carnegie Mellon, Lehigh, Penn State and the University of Pittsburgh across Pennsylvania.
The publication ranked Drexel's College of Engineering's undergraduate program 51st among engineering schools that award doctoral degrees, up from 57th.
DesignIntelligence ranked The Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design interior design programs among the top 10 in the nation The undergraduate program ranks sixth, and the graduate, ninth.
Businessweek ranked The Bennett S. LeBow College of Business part-time MBA program No. 1 in the nation for academic quality.
Drexel's Department of Public Safety has been ranked #11 among colleges/universities by Security Magazine.
