Alumnus Paul Richards Presents Flag to Gov. Ridge

Astronaut Paul Richards ’87 presented a Pennsylvania state flag that had flown with him onboard the Space Shuttle Discovery to Gov. Tom Ridge in Harrisburg. Richards carried the flag with him during his March mission to the International Space Station. The flag is on display at the State Museum.

Also attending the ceremony were Board Chairman C.R. “Chuck” Pennoni ’63, ’66, ’92 Hon.; President Papadakis; Dr. Selçuk Güçeri, dean of the College of Engineering; Dr. Mun Choi, associate dean and professor of engineering; Joseph Cascerceri, vice president for government and community relations; and NASA Reduced Gravity Student Flights Opportunities Program students Mac Haas, Lauren Shor and Gary Walls.
