SAS Center to Provide One-Stop Services for Students

The University opened the new Student Administrative Services (SAS) Center on September 25. The new center will provide one-stop service for students through the unification of the former Departments of Registration, Financial Aid and Billing In-Person services. SAS is part of the seven-point plan introduced by provost and vice president for academic affairs Richard Astro last fall to enhance Drexel’s services for students.

The SAS Center is centrally located in the former site of the Office of Student Information and Records in the Main Building. The facility has been completely refurbished. Students can now access their transcripts and certifications of enrollment, receive billing and financial aid information, and get housing and admissions issues resolved at SAS.

"Our goal is to provide quick turnaround for students’ questions and administrative needs," said Georgia Tyson, director of SAS. " Instead of referring students to other offices, we will set up conference calls to resolve the student’s issue immediately. If the problem can’t be resolved within 30 minutes, we’ll research the issue and contact the student within 48 hours."

SAS will also provide administrative counseling for undergraduate and graduate upperclassmen, and the Center plans to implement ID validation and food plan card stations in the near future. "SAS will be the one-stop destination for students’ billing, financial aid and on-demand processing issues," said Tyson.

The Center’s hours of operation are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday, and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The main telephone numbers are 215/895-2300 and 895-6948. Visit www.drexel.edu/SAS for more information.
