Drexel Notes * Five Drexel students have been awarded Gates Scholarships from the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). The scholarships are funded through the $1 billion donation the UNCF received from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to aid minority college students. The students are Richard Preston, Connie Gomez, Diane Lau, Dionne Henricks and Yun Yoo.
* The Office of Research and Gradutate Studies is holding its first graduate student orientation in the Great Court, September 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Over 400 incoming students are expected to attend to meet with graduate advisers, register for courses, and to tour the campus.
