U. Relations Staffer Pens Book on Black English Russell J. Rickford, a staff writer in the Office of University Relations, and his father, Stanford University linguist John R. Rickford, have co-authored "Spoken Soul"(John Wiley & Sons, $24.95), a book about the expressive qualities of Black English. The book is available immediately on Amazon.com, and in bookstores starting this month.
