Weinbach has directed Unisys, a leading information services and technology company, since 1997. In just two years with the company, he has improved the company`s capital structure, eliminated more than $1 billion in debt, and launched a worldwide marketing campaign.

He previously served as managing partner-chief executive of Arthur Andersen Worldwide. During his eight years at the helm of Arthur Andersen, he doubled the company`s employee base and worldwide locations, increasing revenue from $2 billion to $11 billion. He joined Arthur Andersen in 1961 after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania`s Wharton School.

The annual Business Leader of the Year Award honors the person who best exemplifies the qualities of leadership that the Bennett S. LeBow College of Business faculty and staff seek to instill in Drexel students.

Proceeds from the event benefit student scholarships and facility enhancements at the College. Last year`s event honoring Drexel alumnus Nicholas DeBenedictis `68, `69, `87 HON raised $300,000.
