Seniors: Nominate for Pote “Behind Every Graduate” Award Graduating seniors may nominate a teacher who inspired them to pursue a college education, seek a new perspective on learning or pursue a particular major or career for the Harold W. Pote Behind Every Graduate Award for Excellence in Secondary Teaching. The Behind Every Graduate Selection Committee will review the nominations and select awardees. Awards will be presented at Commencement 2009. Since 2006 Drexel has honored 13 of these teachers and the students who nominated them. Each awardee will receive an expense-paid trip to Philadelphia with a companion. He or she will attend pre-Commencement activities and the Commencement ceremony of the nominating student, where the teacher will be honored. In addition, a monetary award will be made to each awardee and their school.
Nominations for 2009 can be submitted online at www.drexel.edu/provost/behindeverygraduate/ and are due by April 13, 2009.
