Dr. D. Walter Cohen, Chancellor Emeritus of Drexel University College of Medicine, was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Carol Davilla School of Medicine at the University of Bucharest in Romania in recognition of his contributions to higher education.

The honoris causa ceremony took place at the University of Bucharest’s School of Medicine in Romania with the Rector presiding. Dr. Cohen stands (center) with Dr. Augustin Ganuto, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Bucharest, (left) and Chancellor Florian Popa (right).

“Gold Event,” a one-day scientific symposium, was also held in Dr. Cohen’s honor. Participants traveled from Israel, Turkey, Romania and the United States to attend.
