Associate Vice Provost for International Programs Named

Dr. Julie Mostov, Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of International Area Studies in the College of Arts and Science, has been appointed to the position of Associate Vice Provost for International Programs. In assuming this new role, she will step down as Director of International Area Studies, effective September 1.

The internationalization of programs and curricula is a major trend in leading universities today, and the Office of International Programs will provide Drexel with the infrastructure and coordination necessary to take advantage of opportunities and challenges in this era of globalization.

Dr. Mostov will lead and facilitate multidisciplinary international programs across the University, enhance the contributions to international education within the colleges, schools, and other academic units, and increase the global nature of the institution. Dr. Mostov will report to the Provost and work closely with all of the colleges and schools to promote college-based programs and cross-collegial collaboration.

Dr. Mostov has served on the faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences for more than two decades. She has long been involved with international programs as Director of International Area Studies and Chair of the Work Group on International Education. She also was Director of Women’s Studies.
