Students Honored in National Essay Contest A Drexel student won the top prize, and two others received honors, in a national essay contest sponsored by the Americanism Educational League (AEL), a patriotic non-profit organization. Aneta Markowska won $2,500 for earning first place in AEL`s Private Enterprise Essay Contest, which asked students to respond to the question, "Should the United States Sign the New U.N. International Criminal Court Treaty - Yes or No?" Ann Pavlik won $1,000 for seventh place, and Jared Dzwonkowski was named a blue ribbon runner-up. Seven Drexel students have been honored in the contest in the past 10 years. The students participate under the direction of Dr. Edward Koziara, professor and department head, Economics and International Business.
