College of Arts and Sciences Dean Cecilie Goodrich participated in the commencement of Taiwan`s Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) as part of a joint BS-MS matriculation agreement in chemistry and physics between the universities created in 1995.

Goodrich conferred the first BS/MS degree under the agreement to Yi Hsin Wang, who accumulated 48 master`s credits during a year of study at Drexel. In the program, students complete four years of study at CYCU and one year at Drexel. Goodrich`s visit was covered by five Taiwanese newspapers.
