The University has installed a Web cam on the roof of Disque Hall on the University City Main Campus to give visitors to the Drexel Web site a glimpse of what is happening on campus. From its location, the camera overlooks the 32nd Street Park, the renovated quad, the Paul Peck Alumni Center and Market Street.

The Web cam can be viewed at www.drexel.edu/drexelive. The site includes links to current Philadelphia weather and traffic conditions, campus news, the University visitor’s guide and more.

The suggestion of the Drexel Web cam was submitted to the Students FIRST Stop the Obtrusive Practice (STOP) program by Assistant Dean of Fraternity and Sorority Life Stephen Rupprecht. Rupprecht, who received $1,000 for his idea at Commencement 2006, suggested that the University install Web cams so that students, parents, alumni and others can view the campus, especially the progress of new construction.
