IWHL Receives AstraZeneca Grant for Scholarships The Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership (IWHL) received a $250,000 grant from the AstraZeneca Community Service Scholarship Program to offer scholarships to underrepresented minorities for the Drexel University College of Medicine. The grant will support eight $10,000 scholarships to recipients from across the country. In addition to meeting DUCoM’s admissions criteria, scholarship winners must commit to a community service project during the year in which they receive the award. Those interested in applying for the scholarships can contact the DUCoM admissions office at 215-991-8202 or medadmis@drexel.edu.
Scholarship recipients will be announced at the IWHL’s Woman One Award ceremony on April 28, 2005.
