DUCOM to Hold National Forum on Women’s Issues

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Drexel University College of Medicine will sponsor its Second National Forum on Women’s Issues in Gastroenterology and Hepatology on October 1 – 3 at the Sheraton-Rittenhouse Square Hotel, 227 South 18th Street, Philadelphia. Dr. Barbara B. Frank, clinical professor of medicine is the program director. National and internationally recognized experts will present cutting-edge information on gender-specific issues in GI and hepatology. Topics include inflammatory disease issues in women, gender issues in liver disease, feminine effects on motility, colorectal cancer screening, bariatric surgery, therapeutics during pregnancy and gender bias in academic medicine.

A discount is available for those registering by September 1. Grants will be provided on a competitive basis for a limited number of students, residents and fellows.
