CoMAD Associate Dean to Lecture at Westphal Gallery

College of Media Arts & Design Associate Dean and Professor Dr. David Raizman will present the lecture “History of Modern Design” and sign copies of his book by the same title in the Antoinette and Ray Westphal Picture Gallery on March 31 at 6 p.m.

Raizman’s book, which was jointly released in November, 2003 by Laurence King Publishers Ltd. in London and Prentice Hall in the United States, is a survey of decorative arts, industrial design and graphic design from the 18th through 20th centuries. It is based on the History of Modern Design course Raizman has taught at Drexel for the past 10 years.

The event, sponsored by the Magnificent Minds lecture and arts series, is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.drexel.edu/univrel/drexelcollection/events_raizman.asp.
