2004 Kate Hurd-Mead Lecture
Janet Bickel

The Drexel University College of Medicine, the Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership and the College of Physicians of Philadelphia will sponsor the 2004 Kate Hurd-Mead Lecture on March 17, at 6:15 p.m. at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, 19 South 22nd Street.

Janet Bickel, an author, career development and diversity coach and former director of women in medicine programs for the Association of American Medical Colleges, is the guest speaker. The lecture topic is “Confessions of a Tempered Radical: Leading Change in a Half-Changed World for Women in Medicine.”

The Kate Hurd-Mead Lecture was established in 1950 as part of the 100th anniversary celebration of Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania. Since that time, it has been co-sponsored by WMCP and its successor institutions and the Section on Medical History of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. The free lecture is open to the public. For more information, contact Dr. Steven J. Peitzman at sjp27@drexel.edu.
