Study Abroad Program Reorganizes

In recognition of the value of studying political, social, and cultural systems in other countries, as well as the global reach of business and technology, the University reorganized the Study Abroad program. It is now administered by Dr. Mark Greenberg, dean of undergraduate education and director of the University Honors Program.

Daniella Ascarelli is program director. Her office provides necessary information for students going abroad, keeps track of placements, assists with administrative details, provides a central contact point for families and students, monitors the quality of overseas education and facilitates credit transfers and other academic matters. The program works with the Co-op office to develop additional international placements, and the English Language Center, which helps American and international students interact on campus.

“Our goal is to provide seamless study abroad and international co-operative education experiences for those students desiring them and for those programs for which they make sense,” said Greenberg. For more information, contact the department at 215-895-1704 or studyabroad@drexel.edu.
