Rare Chinese Silk Exhibits Come to Drexel, April 3-17

“Threads of Majesty: Two Thousand Years of Silk Culture in China,” an exhibition of rare antique silk and silk costumes from the China National Silk Museum in Hangzhou, will be on view at Behrakis Grand Hall from April 3-17. The display features more than 60 items dating from the third century B.C. to the nineteenth century. Drexel is the only location in the United States where the exhibit will be presented. Show hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday -Friday.

Also from April 3-17, the “Chinese Silk Garments: Selections from the Historic Costume Collection” will be held at the Design Arts Gallery in Nesbitt Hall. Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday and by appointment.
