Drexel Ranked by International Publications U.S.News & World Report Graduate Rankings The U.S.News & World Report 2007 “America’s Best Graduate Schools” rankings, released on March 31, included LeBow College of Business, School of Education (SoE), College of Information Science and Technology (IST), College of Engineering (CoE) and Drexel University College of Medicine (DUCoM). SoE is ranked 57th overall—up nine places from 2006. The SoE graduate program is 16th among private colleges and universities, up two positions from last year. LeBow College’s MBA program is 100th overall, up 28 places from the 2006 listings. IST is ranked 11th in the Library and Information Studies Specialties: School Library Media category. IST is number five nationally for specialized programs in information systems and number six nationally for specialized programs in digital librarianship. CoE is 61st overall. DUCoM is 88th in the research category and 92nd in primary care. DUCom is 16th in the women’s health specialty catagory. Drexel’s biological sciences doctoral program is number 125. Computer Science Program in Prism In its March 2006 issue, Prism—a publication of the American Society for Engineering Education—ranked the College of Engineering’s computer science program the 20th largest in the nation with respect to the number of bachelor’s degrees awarded. Other universities on this list included Stony Brook University (number one), Virginia Tech (four), California Polytechnic State University (15) and UCLA (17). LeBow College MBA in Pharmaceutical Management Recognized by Financial Times The LeBow College MBA in Pharmaceutical Management program was honored as one of the Top 25 distance learning providers worldwide by Financial Times in the publication’s survey of online programs released on March 20. Schools were listed by the number of enrolled students. Other schools in the top 25 include Henley Management College, Manchester Business School, Thunderbird, Babson College and George Washington University. BusinessWeek LeBow College’s undergraduate business program is 58th in BusinessWeek’s inaugural rankings of the country’s best undergraduate business schools. In the rankings, released on April 28, the median starting salary for LeBow College graduates is 14th, enrollment is 24th, academic quality is 27th, average SAT score is 48th and cost is 15th.
