Aids Fund

Until It's Over...

AIDS Fund supports HIV/AIDS education, prevention and services in the Delaware Valley Region by raising dollars and increasing public awareness about the impact of HIV on our communities. Since its founding, AIDS Fund has remained committed to the philosophy that by coming together, each individual can make a difference in the fight against HIV/AIDS in his or her community. The generosity of Drexel University employees through the Dragon Drive provides funding for HIV/AIDS public awareness, prevention and care services in our community.

Did you know?

  • In this country, there are 40,000 new infections annually–one new infection every 13 minutes.
  • Half of all new infections are among those under the age of 25.
  • Of people infected with HIV, 25 percent do not know it.
  • Infection rates continue to rise among youth, women and communities of color.

$500 pays for:

  • Ten AIDS prevention workshops.
  • Five HIV education sessions at farm labor camps.
  • HIV counseling and testing for 10 people.
  • A week of camp for an HIV-infected child.
  • Thirty-five hours of individual prevention case management for high-risk youth.
