Student Life Celebrates Welcome Back Week 2005

The Division of Student Life is celebrating Welcome Back Week on the University City Main Campus through Friday, April 1, 2005. The week's activities include:

Reach Out to the Troops
Write a message of support and school spirit to a Drexel student serving his/her country overseas. The Drexel Dragon banner can be signed at all midday events this week.

Celebrate Drexel
Tuesday, March 29, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Quad (33rd and Chestnut Streets)
(Rain location: Creese Student Union Complex lobby (32nd and Chestnut Streets)
Walk through time, from past to present, and discover where Drexel will be tomorrow. Journey through a pictorial display, be photographed for your co-op experience, while enjoying blue and gold water ice.

In the Company of Poets
Tuesday, March 29, 7 p.m., Ross Commons (34th Street and Powelton Avenue)
A local female performance ensemble whose mission is to promote the power of poetry, and establish a greater appreciation for language and the performing arts will perform live. They focus on local, national, and international issues that impact the health, education and lifestyles of ourselves and our community. Sponsored in conjunction with Women's History Month.

DragonCard Vendor/Community Service Fair

Ultima Fund Vendors Fair
Free food, giveaways and prizes. Get to know the local merchants who accept Ultima Funds and what they have to offer. DragonCard representatives will be there to answer all your questions about Ultima Funds.

Neighborhood Community Partner Fair
"It's not about giving back to the community, it's about being part of the community." The Center for Civic Engagement invites you to meet neighborhood organizations working to improve and enrich the lives of all West Philadelphians. Come learn how you can be a part - you might be surprised at what is going on "next door."
