Tickets for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Table Tennis Team Trials
Tickets are now available for the 2008 U.S. Olympic & National Team Trials for table tennis to be held at the Daskalakis Athletic Center (33rd and Market Streets) beginning January 10, 2008 and concluding January 13 according to Dr. Eric Zillmer, athletics director. Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Individual tickets for each day are $10. A three-day pass is $20. Admission is free for the January 10 open qualifying event.
Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-866-4-DREXEL or by visiting the Drexel ticket office located at the DAC.
The U.S. Olympic & National Team Trials is expected to draw the elite 24 table tennis athletes from across the country with 12 athletes competing in men’s singles and 12 athletes competing in women’s singles in a round-robin format to help determine who will represent the United States in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

The Dragons men’s basketball team will face the Temple Owls on Saturday, December 15, 2007, at noon, at The Palestra (32nd and Spruce Streets).

Drexel Alumni Brunch Before Saturday’s Dragons/Owls Game
The Office of Alumni Relations will sponsor an alumni brunch on Saturday, December 15, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. in the James D. Dunning Coaches' Center Board Room at the University of Pennsylvania (231 South 33rd Street).
Tickets for the brunch are $30 per person, and include a game ticket.
Season ticket holders can add the pre-game brunch to their tickets for an additional $15 per person.

Special Ticket Offers for Men's and Women's Basketball
The Drexel Athletic Department is extending special ticket offers to all faculty and staff for the remaining men's and women's basketball games in December.
Men's Basketball - Buy One, Get One Free Palestra Special
Any faculty or staff member who purchases a ticket to the men's game against the Temple Owls on December 15, 2007, at noon at The Palestra (32nd and Spruce Streets) and/or the game against St. Joseph's University on December 31, 2007 at 7 p.m. at The Palestra, will receive a second complimentary ticket. There are no limits on this offer. The Temple Owls game will be a doubleheader, with the women’s team facing American University at 3:30 p.m.
Tickets are available at the Drexel Ticket Office in the Daskalakis Center (33rd and Market Streets), or by calling 1-866-4-DREXEL.
Women's Basketball – Free Admission on December 20
The women's basketball team will face Penn on December 20, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Daskalakis Athletic Center (33rd and Market Streets). Any faculty or staff member who presents a valid Drexel I.D. at the ticket window will receive free admission.

New DUTV Programming to Air During Holiday Break
Drexel University Television (DUTV), the student-run television station of the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, and the Kal and Lucille Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies announce new programming that will air during Drexel's holiday break.

Annual Holiday Party for Faculty and Staff This Weekend
President and Mrs. Papadakis will host the University's annual holiday party for faculty and staff this Sunday, December 16, 2007, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Great Court, Main Building (32nd and Chestnut Streets).
There will be a range of events including an international menu and outstanding entertainment. Everyone is encouraged to bring the whole family. Complimentary parking will be available in Lot F (31st and Ludlow Streets).

Last Day for Volunteer Toy-Wrapping
Members of the University community are invited to participate in the final toy-wrapping party in the Great Court today, December 14, 2007, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Complimentary lunch and beverages will be provided to volunteers by the Office of Government and Community Relations.
This wrapping party is part of the 11th Annual Toy Drive, which benefits children in need, primarily in West and North Philadelphia.

Alumni Association to Hold Annual Turkey Project
The Drexel University Alumni Association will continue a thirty-year tradition by providing holiday turkeys to our community neighbors in need this holiday season. This year turkeys will be donated to more than 1,200 families in the West Philadelphia area and to those served by Drexel's 11th Street Family Health Services Center.
The entire Drexel community is encouraged to help the Alumni Association by making a donation to the project. A contribution of $25 will supply two families with turkey dinners.
Donations can be made online by visiting http://www.drexel.edu/ia/giftsonline (enter S8C1 in the "Special Instructions" field) or checks (made payable to Drexel University) can be can be mailed or delivered to the Office of Alumni Relations in the Paul Peck Alumni Center (32nd and Market Streets).
Assistance is also needed with turkey distribution. Volunteers are asked to meet outside of the Paul Peck Alumni Center on Thursday, December 20, 2007, at 8 a.m.

Call for Abstracts for IWHL Sex and Gender Research Forum
The Drexel University College of Medicine's Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership (IWHL) will host its annual Helen I. Moorehead-Laurencin, M.D. Sex and Gender Research Forum on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the Bossone Research Center.
The IWHL is seeking abstracts from students (undergraduate and graduate) and faculty for the poster session. The submission deadline is Friday, December 14, 2007. For abstract submission guidelines, visit http://www.drexelmed.edu/iwhl.
