Hagerty Library Open 24/7 During Exams
The entire W.W. Hagerty Library (33rd and Market Streets) will remain open for studying 24/7 until midnight, Friday, December 14, 2007, according to Dr. Jane Bryan, director of libraries.
On Saturday, December 15, 2007, the last day of exams, Hagerty Library will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A valid Drexel ID is required for building entry. Complimentary coffee, tea and snacks will be served late in the evening.

Safety Walk-back Program from the Library During Finals
The Department of Public Safety, working with the Undergraduate Student Government Association (USGA), has instituted the Public Safety Walk-back Program. During finals (through Friday, December 14, 2007) a security officer will be available at the W.W. Hagerty Library (33rd and Market Streets) hourly from 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. for any student who would like an escort.
The Department of Public Safety is providing this service in addition to its normal Walking Escort Program in which uniformed security officers provide escorts to campus locations. Escorts are dispatched by radio and will accompany anyone requesting an escort from one campus location to another, to a vehicle or to an on-campus SEPTA regional transit stop. Walking escorts are available 24/7. To request a walking escort, call 215-895-2822.

Volunteers Needed for Toy-Wrapping Parties
Members of the University community are encouraged to participate in toy-wrapping parties to be held in the Great Court through Friday, December 14, 2007, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Complementary sandwiches and beverages will be provided to volunteer wrappers.
These wrapping parties are part of the 11th Annual Toy Drive and benefit children in need, primarily in West and North Philadelphia.

"Drexel Law Lecture Series" to Present: Universal Healthcare
Drexel Law Democrats, Drexel Law Republicans, the Health Law Society and the College of Law Health Concentration will present a panel discussion on the subject of universal healthcare, including the positions of various presidential candidates, on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at 7 p.m. in Room 140 at the Drexel University College of Law Building (Market Street between 33rd and 34th Streets).
This event is open to the public and will be followed by a reception with complimentary refreshments at which attendees will have the opportunity to speak with the panelists.

Dr. Barry Furrow to Moderate "Regulating the Practice of Medicine" Tonight at the National Constitution Center
Dr. Barry R. Furrow, director of the health law concentration at the Drexel University College of Law, will moderate a panel discussion, "Regulating the Practice of Medicine," today, December 11, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. at the National Constitution Center (5th and Arch Streets).
"The Cephalon Speaker Series for Science and the Constitution" is a partnership between Cephalon, Inc. and the National Constitution Center intended to attract local and national experts to discuss constitutional issues pertaining to science, public policy and the law. The first program in the series, "Regulating the Practice of Medicine," is a conversation with industry insiders about how business and government promote, regulate, pay for and prohibit products in the health care industry.

Special Ticket Offers for Men’s and Women’s Basketball
The Drexel Athletic Department is extending special ticket offers to all faculty and staff for the remaining men's and women's basketball games in December.
Men's Basketball - Buy One, Get One Free Palestra Special
Any faculty or staff member who purchases a ticket to the men's game against the Temple Owls on December 15, 2007, at noon at The Palestra (32nd and Spruce Streets) and/or the game against St. Joseph's University on December 31, 2007 at 7 p.m. at The Palestra, will receive a second complimentary ticket. There are no limits on this offer. The Temple Owls game will be a doubleheader, with the women’s team facing American University at 3:30 p.m.

Women's Basketball – Free Admission on December 20th
