HR to Sponsor Lecture on Common Medical Problems in Older Adults Today
Human Resources will hold the next in its series of "Physician Lectures" today, December 5, 2007, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the University Club, sixth floor, MacAlister Hall (33rd and Chestnut Streets).
Dr. Mary Ann Kuzma, will speak on the topic of "Common Medical Problems in Older Adults." A short question and answer period will follow the talk.
Dr. Kuzma, is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, and Clerkship Director of Internal Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. With an additional certification in geriatrics, Dr. Kuzma maintains interest in caring for the senior population. Her research has appeared in numerous publications, including the journal of Geriatric Psychiatry and Neurology, American Journal of Medicine and Chest. Dr. Kuzma was most recently noted for her involvement in a unique study that used iPods to teach medical students about normal and abnormal heart murmurs.

Baiada Center to Host Entrepreneurial Skills Workshop
The Laurence A. Baiada Center for Entrepreneurship in Technology will host an entrepreneurial skills workshop, "Creativity & Innovative Thinking," on Thursday, December 6, 2007, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on the ground floor of the Baiada Center (3225 Arch Street). Dave Piltz, managing partner of The Learning Key®, will lead the workshop.
This workshop is designed for those who believe that success is directly linked to innovation and would like to develop the ability to tap into their creativity to instantly turn company goals into profits. Through discussions and activities, participants will learn how to be creative "in the moment" and walk away with at least one new business idea for increased success.

University Procurement to Host "Procurement 101"
"Procurement 101" sessions are for faculty and staff with procurement responsibilities for their department or division. Information will be provided about new services and programs that are designed to save departments money.
Strategic partners at the sessions will speak about their new products and services, how to properly process University purchases, how to request estimates from vendors and who to call to get purchasing questions answered.

Drexel Marketing Association General Meeting
The Drexel Marketing Association will hold a general meeting today, Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at 7 p.m. in room 102 in the Pearlstein Business Learning Center (3218 Market Street).
