Music Ensembles to Perform Throughout Week
The Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design and the Department of Performing Art’s music ensembles are presenting performances all week for the annual Fall Music Festival. Performances run through this Friday, December 7, 2007, and take place in the Mandell Theater (33rd and Chestnut Streets), unless otherwise noted. Refer to the line-up below for performance times.

Free Pair of Basketball Tickets with Toy Drive Donation
Drexel Athletics and the Office of Government and Community Relations encourage students to bring a new toy, wrapped and marked with appropriate gender and age (2-14 years) for the 11th Annual Drexel Toy Drive. For every toy, students will receive a free pair of tickets to the Drexel Women’s basketball game on December 8, 2007 when they face the University of Dayton. Game time is 1 p.m.
The goal of this drive is to make it possible for every child in our community to have a special gift to look forward to this holiday season.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to donate new toys, preferably wrapped and tagged for age and gender, for children in need, primarily in West and North Philadelphia. All toys should be appropriate for children – no weapon-themed toys.
Members of the University community can also participate in toy-wrapping parties to be held in the Great Court from Monday, December 10, through Friday, December 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The toy drive ends on Monday, December 17.

Philadelphia Flyers Present Drexel Appreciation Nights
Between now and December 17, 2007, selected seats in the mezzanine level of the Wachovia Center are available to Drexel University students, faculty and staff at the discounted price of $22.50. Based on availability, $47.50 seats are available for $25.

University Procurement to Host "Procurement 101"
"Procurement 101" sessions are for faculty and staff with procurement responsibilities for their department or division. Information will be provided about new services and programs that are designed to save departments money.
Strategic partners at the sessions will speak about their new products and services, how to properly process University purchases, how to request estimates from vendors and who to call to get purchasing questions answered.

Thermo Fisher Scientific Meet and Greet With Complimentary Lunch
Drexel University Procurement, in partnership with Thermo Fisher Scientific, will host a meet and greet in the atrium of the Queen Lane Medical Campus (2900 Queen Lane) on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, from 11a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is open to all Drexel faculty and staff. Attendees can see what’s new, ask questions about products and make appointments with the vendors. Lunch will be provided.

CEO Leadership Workshop Tonight
The Office of Campus Activities is offering a free workshop on Leadership Training Based on the Military Model presented by Keith M. Cianfrani, LTC US Army (retired), owner of The Leadership Development Group, today, December 3, 2007, at 6 p.m. in 2019 MacAlister Hall (33rd and Chestnut Streets).
The purpose of The Leadership Development Group is to provide professional leadership training using the U.S. Army’s Be-Know-Do Leadership Model. Using this model, our customers learn what a leader must be, what a leader must know, and how a leader must act. Topics may include: communication, vision and mission, decision making, planning and problem solving.

Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, Biology Department and Pennoni Honors College present the AIDS Awareness Dinner on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Behrakis Grand Hall (32nd and Chestnut Streets).
