See the Dragons Battle Duke Blue Devils in New York
The men's basketball team will meet the top-ranked Duke Blue Devils in the NIT Preseason Tip-Off Semifinals on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 7 p.m. in New York 's Madison Square Garden. The game, the first of a doubleheader with UCLA-Memphis, will be nationally televised on ESPN2. The championship and consolation games will be played on Friday, November 25, 2005 at Madison Square Garden. These games will also be televised on ESPN2. To celebrate the games Coach Bruiser Flint and two Drexel players will ring the opening bell at the NASDAQ on Wednesday.
Tickets are free for Drexel students. Buses will leave from the Daskalakis Athletic Center (33rd and Market Streets) at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning and will return immediately after the game. Space is limited on the buses. Reserve your seat by emailing sean.joyce@drexel.edu.
For those not taking the bus, one free ticket will be available per Drexel student ID to pick up at the Madison Square Garden ticket office. Additional tickets are available for students for $10. Non-student tickets are $30-$50 each.
Tickets are also free for Drexel students for Friday's championship/consolation game, against either 12th-ranked Memphis or 18th-ranked UCLA.

CEO Offers Workshop on Spirituality and Leadership
Creating Excellent Organizations
(CEO) will hold the workshop "Spirituality, Service and Leadership"
today, November 22, 2005 from 6-7:30 p.m. in MacAlister Hall room 2020 (33rd
and Chestnut Streets).
Father Bill Grogan, director of the Newman Center at Drexel University, will explore the integration of spiritual views and perspectives on social action with an understanding of leadership styles.

Alternative Spring Break - First Deadline Tomorrow
The Office of Campus Activities announces 2006 Alternative Spring Break
(ASB) opportunities.
ASB trips offer college students the opportunity to volunteer in various parts of the country for week-long community service-based projects that benefit the environment, the needy and the community. The first application deadline for students wishing to participate in an ASB trip is Wednesday, November 23, 2005.

OGCR Mantua Banner Contest Deadline Extended
The Office of Government and Community Relations (OGCR) and the Mantua Community
Improvement Committee (MCIC) invite all students to participate in a banner
design contest.
The winning submission will be awarded a $500 Drexel University Bookstore gift certificate for purchasing books.
The banner design should promote the MCIC's Neighborhood Special Service District Project in West Philadelphia and contribute to the beautification and identity of Mantua.
The deadline for submissions has been extended. Submissions will be accepted by the OGCR until Wednesday, November 23, 2005. Banner designs can be dropped off at the OCGR in the Main Building, room 228 (32nd and Chestnut Streets) or emailed to gmh25@drexel.edu or dnb26@drexel.edu.

Medical Students to Hold Holiday Book Drive
For more than 10 years students in the Drexel University College of Medicine
have been coordinating a holiday gift drive for the more than 400 pre-K through
eighth grade students of Philadelphia's Thomas Mifflin Elementary School. This
year, medical students are again collecting books for the Mifflin children.
The students are also collecting books for children who go to the West Kensington
Boys and Girls Club After-School Club.
Donations of new books are being accepted through Friday, December 9, 2005. Books can be sent to Elissa Goldberg in the Community Experience Office on the Queen Lane Medical Campus, 2900 Queen Lane, Room G18D, Philadelphia, 19129. Books can also be dropped off at the security desk and at the cafeteria on the Queen Lane Medical Campus.
The gift-giving will culminate in an afternoon of stories on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, with medical students reading to the children. For more information, email Goldberg at elissa.goldberg@drexel.edu.

Drexel Gospel Choir in Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade
The Drexel University Gospel Choir, under the direction of Dr. Gregory
Ross, will sing in the 6ABC/Boscov's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday,
November 24, 2005. The parade along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway begins at
8 a.m. It will be televised on Channel 6 (WPVI) beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Choir will
perform with 2005 American Idol finalist Anwar Robinson.
Drexel Alumnus Albert R. Boscov is the chairman of Boscov's Department Stores, the parade's title sponsor.

CNHP Team to Participate in Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis Foundation
The College of Nursing and Health Professions is forming a team that will participate in the Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis that will be held in Manayunk on Sunday, December 11, 2005. Proceeds will benefit the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. The CNHP team name is “Rock the Bells.”
