DUCoM Team Places Third in National "Medical Jeopardy"

Dr. Richard V. Drexel University College of Medicine team members include Petros Grivas, Joseph Vadakara, Gayathri Nagaraj and Vaibhab Sahni. Chief resident Archana Gowda serves as the team’s coach and instructor.

The national “Medical Jeopardy” competition pits teams of residents and fellows against each other in a test of medical knowledge. After winning big victories in the first round and semifinal, the Drexel team, representing the state of Pennsylvania, qualified for the final four. The team led the final game from the beginning until the final question, but lost the final question, enabling two other teams to double their points and take first and second in the national competition.

The DUCoM team previously won the Pennsylvania title in a competition held December 1 at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.
