Free Pizza for Free Pizza Screening
The Kal and Lucille Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies will
hold a free screening of the movie Pizza on Tuesday, May 24 2005 at
7 p.m. in the University Crossings' screening room (15 N. 34th Street). Following
the screening, Mark Christopher, the movie's director, will
talk about how movies are made in the independent film world. Free pizza will
be served.
Pizza, which was shot in Milford, Pa., is set on friendless Cara Ethel's 18th birthday when her seeming birthday-from-hell takes an unexpected turn with a pizza delivery man who turns out to be surprisingly compassionate and sensitive.
The film was a hit at this year's Philadelphia Film Festival and will soon be released nationally by Indigent Pictures. Christopher's discussion will address some of the differences of working in the independent film world rather than with the major studios, and shooting digitally rather than on film.
Space is limited. Call 215-895-0352 to reserve your seats. For more information, contact Allen Sabinson, director of the Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies, at 215-895-0274 or allensabinson@drexel.edu.
