Public Safety Awareness Programs Available

The University's department of public safety has developed a series of security and safety awareness programs designed to educate the Drexel community about various aspects of Public Safety. The programs offer students, faculty and staff the opportunity to meet representatives from Public Safety and outside agencies, and participate in programs designed to increase an individual's awareness of security and safety.

The department views the security and safety awareness programs as an integral part in the development and implementation of the University's Public Safety program. It is clearly understood that for the department to achieve its goals, it must continue to educate students, faculty and staff while creating a safe and unobtrusive environment within which the Drexel community can excel. You can help us help you by participating in and promoting all of the programs Public Safety offers.

To schedule a student, faculty/staff or department onsite awareness presentation, contact Public Safety at 215-895-1550 or visit http://www.drexel.edu/admin/publicsafety.

Undergraduate Research and Creative Opportunities

The Pennoni Honors College maintains an interactive Web site designed to foster research and creative opportunities for all Drexel undergraduates at http://www.drexel.edu/ugresearch/.

The Web site provides a way for faculty to advertise activities in which students may become involved, and it functions as a guide for students seeking to engage in the challenge and intellectual excitement of working with faculty members on cutting-edge research and creative projects.

Such activities are rewarding in themselves and offer students ways to distinguish themselves as prospective graduate and professional scholars when competing for fellowships, co-ops and jobs.

To advertise positions for undergraduates, follow the links on http://www.drexel.edu/ugresearch/. Students should visit often, as opportunities are constantly changing.
