A rapidly evolving set of challenges and opportunities are developing from climate change and the greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions that are causing it. Panelists will examine the various ways campus facilities leaders can understand, quantify and manage greenhouse gas emissions using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol). The presentation will focus on the first step, GHG Inventory Data Collection and Measurement, followed by a discussion with panelists and invited guests from 83 colleges and universities in the region.
The Campus Sustainability Working Group was formed in the fall of 2007 to assist colleges and universities in developing comprehensive sustainability policies and practices in their respective institutions that will advance the goals of the Energy Action Agenda. Participants include representatives from Community College of Philadelphia, Drexel University, Philadelphia University, Swarthmore College, Temple University, the University of Pennsylvania and the Institute for Local Self-Reliance.
