Drexel Volunteers Did Their Part at Philly Spring Cleanup Day
More than 100 Drexel students worked at four different sites on April 5 picking up trash and planting trees during the citywide Philly Spring Cleanup Day. Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter (above left) and Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell (above center left) were on hand at the cleanup site at 48th and Woodland Avenue in West Philadelphia where Drexel students, including Noah Cohen, editor-in-chief, The Triangle (above center right), and freshman Ashley Peskoe (above right), presented them with Drexel Cleanup T-shirts which they proudly wore to indicate their appreciation to Drexel for participating in the event.
Drexel also sent teams to help out at the Schuylkill River Park Alliance site, the Manayunk Canal site and the Cobbs Creek site at 6037 Walnut Street.
