The Heart Truth Road Show Visits Plaza at King of Prussia
The Institute for Women's Health and Leadership invites students, faculty and staff to the Heart Truth Road Show, a traveling exhibit about women's heart health, which will be held on Friday, March 19 through Sunday, March 21, 2004 in Nordstrom's Court at the Plaza at King of Prussia (Route 202 at Mall Boulevard). The show is sponsored by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health.
The show features free heart disease risk factor screenings for women, educational materials and a display of the Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection, with designs by Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, Carolina Herrera and an Oscar de la Renta suit worn by First Lady Laura Bush.
The exhibit will be open from 3 - 9 p.m. on March 19 and from noon - 6 p.m. on March 20 - 21.

"Where to Find the Jobs" Workshop
The Steinbright Career Development Center will hold the free workshop "Where to Find the Jobs" on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 from noon-1 p.m. in the Bellet Building second floor conference room (15th and Race Streets). The workshop is open to students, faculty, staff and alumni and will cover job hunting tactics and the resources available for securing a professional position.

The third annual City Six 5K will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2004 starting at 9 a.m. at Lloyd Hall (Kelly Drive at Aquarium Drive). The event is sponsored by the recreation programs from Philadelphia's City Six universities: Drexel, St. Joseph's, Villanova, Temple, Penn and La Salle. Proceeds benefit the American Heart Association.
T-shirts, great prizes and refreshments will be available for all participants.
The registration fee is
$10 if it is received before March 22, 2004 or $15 on-site. On-site registration
begins at 7 a.m.

Policy-Oriented Prevention Research:
Preventing Youth Access to Tobacco
The Public Health Grand
Rounds featuring the lecture "Policy-Oriented Prevention Research: Preventing
Youth Access to Tobacco" by Dr. Lisa Ulmer will be held on Thursday,
March 18, 2004 at 4:30 p.m. in New College Building lecture hall B (15th and
Vine Streets).
Dr. Ulmer, professor
and chair of the Department of Community Health and Prevention in the School
of Public Health, was one of six scientists recently featured in Brain Power,
a National Institute on Drug Abuse documentary for the Junior Scientist Programmer.
Dr. Ulmer has received a Baltimore City Citizen Citation for Leadership and
a Baltimore City Health Department Leadership Award for her work.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
