Workshop Today: Everything Students Need to Know About Registration

The Office of the Provost will sponsor workshops on course registration today, February 25 from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 26 from 3 to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, February 28, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Mary Hagerty Room, W.W. Hagerty Library (33rd and Market Streets).

With freshman course registration quickly approaching (Wednesday, March 5 and Thursday, March 6), it is important that students build their schedules ahead of time and know the system inside and out. Upperclass mentors will be facilitating workshops in the W.W. Hagerty Library that will provide students with the tools and tips necessary to enroll in the classes that they need and want.

Students are encouraged to stop in at any time. The 15-to 30-minute workshops will help ensure that the spring quarter class registration process is a smooth one. Complimentary hot food and cold beverages will be provided.

Those unable to attend a workshop can still take full advantage of the Quick-Start Guide to Course Registration on Blue Line at http://www.drexel.edu/blueline/courseregistration.

For more information, email blueline@drexel.edu.

Drexel Picture Gallery, third floor, Main Building (32nd and Chestnut Streets).

Dr. Papantoniou currently serves as an Onassis Foundation Senior Visiting Scholar at the University of Athens. He served as deputy minister of National Economy, minister of Commerce, minister of National Economy and Finance, and minister of National Defense.

Over the 12-month period in 2002-03, when Greece held the presidency of the European Union’s Council of Defense Ministers, Dr. Papantoniou helped to coordinate the policies that led to the creation of the European Military Force and its engagement in international peacekeeping operations as well as the establishment of the European Defense Agency.

Dr. Papantoniou studied economics at the Universities of Athens and Wisconsin, history at the Sorbonne (France), and obtained his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Cambridge (U.K).

In response, she was transformed into hollow water reeds that emitted a haunting sound when the god's frustrated breath blew across them. Pan cut the reeds to fashion the first set of pan pipes, which henceforth were known as syrinx.
