Film Series to Kick-off with: Chisholm '72 Unbought and Unbossed Tonight
The College of Arts and Sciences, International Area Studies, Women's Studies, Africana Studies, and the Office of Multicultural Programs will present the first feature in the Women's Studies Film Series tonight, February 1, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ruth Auditorium in Nesbitt Hall (33rd and Market Streets).
Hillary Clinton is not the first woman to run for president. Shirley Chisholm beat her by more than 35 years. Chisholm '72 Unbought and Unbossed is the first historical documentary on Brooklyn Congresswoman Chisholm and her campaign to become the Democratic Party's presidential nominee in 1972.

Pack the DAC: Get Fired Up with ESPNU and Fire Performers
The Dragons men's basketball team will host George Mason on Thursday, February 7, 2008, at 7 p.m. in a game that will be televised live on ESPNU.
The Undergraduate Student Government Association (USGA) and the Dac Pack will be sponsoring a pre-game event from 6 to 7 p.m. featuring fire performers outside the DAC. Get to the game early and feel the fire!

Cheer on the Patriots or the NY Giants Sunday, February 3, 2008, beginning at 5 p.m. at Ross Commons (34th Street and Powelton Avenue).
In addition to watching the game, activities include a wing bowl, pool and dart tournaments, and games. Food will be provided by Commuter Student Programs and Services.

Win $500 in Baiada Business Plan Competition
The deadline to submit concept papers for consideration in the 2008 Business Concept Competition hosted by the Laurence A. Baiada Center for Entrepreneurship in Technology is Monday, February 4, 2008 at noon. All Drexel University students are welcome and encouraged to participate. No prior business plan writing experience is required.
Interested students should register and upload their three page plans at http://www.lebow.drexel.edu/Centers/Baiada/BusinessPlan/phaseI.php. All competitors will receive substantial feedback from the judges that will be valuable for those who wish to develop full business plans from these ideas. There will be cash prizes; each of the top five teams will receive $500!

The Student Counseling Center to Present Parenting Workshop

University Procurement to Host Furniture Vendor Fair
University Procurement will host the second Drexel University Procurement Furniture Vendor Fair on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Behrakis Grand Hall, (32nd and Chestnut Streets).
Furniture vendors will be on campus displaying seating, case goods, office systems, and lounge furniture consistent with Drexel's preferred furniture standards. For the first time, there will be preferred vendors displaying the latest products in laboratory furniture. Representatives from University Procurement, and the departments of Facilities and Planning, Design, and Construction will be present to provide useful information and guidelines for attendees.
In addition to the furniture fair, staff members from the Planning, Design and Construction Departments of the University City Main Campus and both of the Drexel University College of Medicine campuses will conduct two furniture buying workshops. The first workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at 10 a.m. and the second workshop will be held at 1:30 p.m. in rooms 2019 and 2020 of MacAlister Hall (32nd and Chestnut Streets).

Center City Campus Free Movie Night Tonight: The Simpsons
The Office of University Student Life will present The Simpsons on the Center City Hahnemann Campus today, February 1, 2008, at 7 p.m. in Geary B Auditorium on the first floor of the New College Building (245 N. 15th Street).
Homer Simpson is used to alienating people, but nothing compares to the level of animosity he's inspired with his most recent foul-up: polluting the river with toxic waste from the nuclear power plant. Now, Homer's been fired and the citizens of Springfield forced to evacuate in this first-ever big-screen outing for Matt Groening's animated clan.

AAGSA to Present Fifth Annual Art Auction
The Arts Administration Graduate Student Association will present its Fifth Annual Emerging Artists and Emerging Leaders Art Auction on Friday, February 8, 2008, at 7 p.m. in the Paul Peck Alumni Center (32nd and Market Streets).
Auction items feature fine art, tickets to cultural events, gift certificates to local restaurants and more. This unique event nurtures relationships between emerging artists and future arts leaders in the region while raising funds to send arts administration graduate students to Arts Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C. The auction will feature complimentary hors d'oeuvres and live entertainment by classical guitarist Marisol Rampolla.
The auction is open to the general public. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10.
