Last Day to Take the SEPTA Discount Survey
The Undergraduate Student Government Association (USGA) Septa Survey is in its final day. Vote and make your voice heard as the University explores the feasibility of having a 10 percent discount on SEPTA Trans/Trailpasses. The survey will take only a minute of your time.
Go to the USGA Web site, http://www.drexel.edu/usga/septa, and take the survey. All results will be kept confidential and used for the sole purpose of a report to the University.

Great Works Symposium on Experiment in New Governance
The Great Works Symposium presents Temple University Professor Mark Pollack (above), who will speak on "Theorizing the European Union: International Organization, Domestic Polity, or Experiment in New Governance?" on Tuesday, January 23, from 2 to 3:20 p.m. in Room 108 of Disque Hall (32nd and Chestnut Streets).

The Campus Activities Board is sponsoring a trip to see the Philadelphia Sixers face off against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Wachovia Center on Friday, January 26, 2007 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5, two per undergrad ID, and are on sale now at the CAB office.
The CAB office is located in MacAlister Hall, around the corner from the bookstore (33rd and Chestnut Streets). Ticket sales hours are Monday to Friday, noon-1 p.m. and Monday to Thursday, 6-7 p.m.

Call for Presentations: Drexel Nanotechnology Discovery Workshop
The Drexel Nanotechnology Discovery Workshop will be held Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the Bossone Auditorium. Light refreshments will be provided at a reception following the workshop to allow time for discussion.
Faculty members from all colleges and departments who are interested in contributing a six-minute PowerPoint presentation should contact Holly Burnside at hcb23@drexel.edu by Wednesday, January 24.
Presenters should give an overview of their research activities in nanoscale science and engineering areas, geared toward colleagues and graduate students who have a common interest in these areas. The goal of this workshop is to foster dialogue and collaboration across the University.
This event is sponsored by the A.J. Drexel Nanotechnology Institute and the College of Engineering.

Contestants Wanted for Hot Dog Eating Contest
As part of Homecoming Week, CAB will be looking for 10 contestants to participate in a hot dog eating contest during half-time of the Drexel vs. Old Dominion Homecoming game.
First place receives a $100 gift card to the University bookstore. Second place receives a $50 gift card to the bookstore. Third place receives a Coca-Cola chair.
The homecoming game will be held in the DAC on Friday, February 1, 2007 and begins at 7 p.m.

CEO Workshop on Working in the Interstices
Creating Excellent Organizations (CEO) will offer the following workshop today, January 22, 2007 from 6-7:30 p.m. in MacAlister Hall 2020 (33rd and Chestnut Streets).
Working in the Interstices: Communicating with Technical and Non-technical Audiences Simultaneously. Presenter Lesley McBain, senior data editor for the College Board, will look at the question of when is a blank a blank, and when is a blank a zero.

Career-tip Workshops for Seniors
Students who are looking for jobs after graduation and preparing for upcoming campus interviews are encouraged to attend a workshop to learn more about the services offered by the Steinbright Career Development Center (SCDC) at one of the following sessions:
All workshops will take place in Room 250 of the SCDC (3201 Arch Street).
The workshops will focus on understanding the campus interview process, including how to apply, what to expect from interviews and how to prepare for interviews and offers; job-search strategies and resources such as how and where to look for additional full-time, professional experiences after graduation; resume tips and feedback such as suggestions on how to maximize the impact your resume and other application materials make on an employer.
Pre-registration isn't required, but attendance is limited to 20 students for each workshop. For more information, contact the SCDC at 215-895-2185.

Frances M. Ingersoll, Vice President of Christie's, to Lecture at Drexel
Vice president of Christie's auction house Frances M. Ingersoll, a descendant of Anthony J. Drexel, will speak on "Art at Auction: High Lives and Highlights" on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at 6 p.m. in the Anthony J. Drexel Picture Gallery, on the third floor of Main Building (32nd and Chestnut Streets).
Ingersoll will discuss Christie's auctions of the art collections of Doris Duke, daughter of tobacco and electric power industrialist James Buchanan Duke; New York collectors Victor and Sally Ganz; and the Loeb Collection, the largest private collection of works by Picasso.
The lecture is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in the Rincliffe Gallery.

Wilma Theater Artistic Director on The Drexel InterView
Jiri Zizka (above), artistic director of Philadelphia's Wilma Theater, will be the guest of Paula Marantz Cohen on DUTV's The Drexel InterView on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at 8 p.m. The show will be broadcast again on Wednesday, January 24, through Monday, January 29, at 10 a.m.
