  About the Author

Dan Rottenberg, editor of Family Business magazine, is the author of seven books. He has written more than 300 articles for such magazines as Town & Country, Reader's Digest, the New York Times Magazine, Forbes and many others. He formerly served as editor of the Welcomat (now Philadelphia Weekly), executive editor of Philadelphia magazine, and managing editor of the Chicago Journalism Review. He was also a Chicago reporter for the Wall Street Journal. In 1996, he founded the Philadelphia Forum, a weekly Philadelphia opinion paper; in 1993, he founded Seven Arts, a monthly magazine based in Philadelphia. A native of New York City and a 1964 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Dan Rottenberg and his wife live in Philadelphia.
