About Commencement Events

Commencement Ceremonies

Gather with your family, President Pennoni, professors and deans in one of our five ceremonies to be held on Friday, June 11 and Saturday, June 12 in the John A. Daskalakis Athletic Center (33rd and Market Streets). Don't forget your cap and gown or your tickets. (Each guest you invite must have a ticket. Please see ticket information below).

Commencement Receptions

Celebrate at a special reception held by your college or school in your honor, immediately following your ceremony. As locations become available, they will be added to the Schedule of Events page on this site.

Interfaith Baccalaureate Luncheon

A ceremony followed by a luncheon will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at noon in the George D. Behrakis Grand Hall, Creese Student Center (32nd and Chestnut Streets). Kosher and vegetarian items will be available. To make reservations or for further information, contact the Office of the Dean of Students at (215) 895-2501 or studentlife@drexel.edu. RSVP is required.

ROTC Commissioning

The Drexel Army ROTC Class of 2010 will be commissioned as Second Lieutenants in a ceremony Thursday, June 10th, at noon, at the Constitution Center. The event, is open to the public, but space may be limited.

Two of the new officers will join the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, two will join the US Army Reserve, and four are slated for active duty.

Doctoral Celebration

A celebration of completion for all Ph.D., DrNP, DPT, and DrPH graduates will be held on Friday, June 11 at 5 p.m. in the John A. Daskalakis Athletic Center (33rd and Market Streets). Family and friends of the graduates are invited to attend. Students will be asked to make a reservation for themselves and their guests; invitations will be mailed at a later date. Baccalaureate Mass

A Roman Catholic Baccalaureate Mass for all University graduates will be celebrated on Thursday, June 10 at 7 p.m. at the Parish Church of Saint Agatha/Saint James (38th and Chestnut Streets), followed by refreshments at the Drexel University Intercultural Center (33rd & Chestnut Streets). Reservations are required and can be made online at www.drexelnewman.org. For more information contact Fr.
