About Commencement Events


Commencement Ceremonies
Gather with your family, President Papadakis, professors and deans in one of our four ceremonies to be held on Saturday, June 13 in the John A Daskalakis Athletic Center (33rd and Market Streets). Don’t forget your cap and gown or your tickets. (Each guest you invite must have a ticket. Please see ticket information below).

Commencement Receptions
Celebrate at a special reception in your honor in the Creese Student Center (32nd and Chestnut Streets) immediately following your ceremony.

Interfaith Baccalaureate Luncheon
A ceremony followed by a luncheon will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at noon in the George D. Behrakis Grand Hall (Creese Student Center). Kosher and vegetarian items will be available. To make reservations or for further information, contact the Office of the Dean of Students at (215) 895-2501 or studentlife@drexel.edu. RSVP is required.

ROTC Commissioning
Commissioning of ROTC students will take place on Friday, June 12 at 11 a.m. in the Mitchell Auditorium of the Edmund D. Bossone Research Enterprise Center (Market Street between 31st and 32nd Streets). For more information, call Drexel Army ROTC at (215) 590-8808.

Doctoral Hooding Ceremony
A presentation of doctoral hoods to all Ph.D., DrNP, DPT, and DrPH graduates will be held on Friday, June 12 at 4 p.m. in the Edmund D. Bossone Research Enterprise Center. Family and friends of the graduates are invited to attend both the ceremony and the reception that will follow. Students will be asked to make a reservation for themselves and their guests; invitations will be mailed at a later date. Baccalaureate Mass
A Roman Catholic Baccalaureate Mass for all University graduates will be celebrated on Friday, June 12 at 7 p.m. at the Newman Center at Drexel (33rd and Chestnut Streets), followed by refreshments. Reservations are required and can be made online at www.drexelnewman.org. For more information contact Fr.
