Dear Graduate:
President Papadakis often referred to Commencement as the highlight of the academic year. Before his untimely death, he had prepared messages for all Drexel students who were anticipating graduating this year. I am pleased to share his message to you below.
C.R. “Chuck” Pennoni
Interim President
Dear Graduate:
As Commencement day approaches I know you are both anticipating your bright future with excitement and looking back fondly on your time at Drexel. Please plan to gather with your family and friends to celebrate one of life’s great milestones.
Our excellent faculty has been focused on your preparation during your years here, and now it is time for you to head off to show the world what a Drexel education can do. Whether you are beginning or continuing your career or moving on to more studies or research, I know you will represent your alma mater with distinction.
I encourage you to be an active alumnus or alumna, taking advantage of the 120,000-strong network of Drexel graduates worldwide as well as mentoring those who follow in your footsteps at the University.
I look forward to sharing Commencement with you, and I offer you congratulations and best wishes.
