Dear Graduate:

Hopefully your studies at Drexel University College of Medicine have been as rewarding as they have been challenging. Now it is time to celebrate your achievements, at this year’s exciting Commencement ceremony.

Commencement, as the name implies, marks the beginning of the next phase of your education or career. For graduating physicians, this likely means clinical training at the nation’s top programs. Those in biomedical or pre-professional studies may be going on to advanced studies or new or enhanced careers.

You chose Drexel University College of Medicine because of the great academic reputation and tradition of the College and our University.Whatever your next goal, I know that you will be among the best-prepared people in your field, thanks to the excellent physicians, scholars and researchers who have taught you, under the outstanding leadership of Dean Richard Homan.

The alumni communities of Drexel University College of Medicine and Drexel University can be great resources for you. I encourage you to take part in Alumni Association activities after graduation, both to connect to your fellow graduates already advanced in your field and to serve as mentors to those who will come after you.
