Honors Policy

Honors are granted to those students achieving the following academic GPA:

Associate Degree Students
Honors: Cumulative GPA of at least 3.6
High Honors: Cumulative GPA of at least 3.8
Your GPA at the end of the fall semester of your final year is the determining factor.

Baccalaureate Degree Students
Latin Honors: Cum Laude (3.5-3.699), Magna Cum Laude (3.7-3.899) and Summa Cum
Laude (3.9-4.0) require a minimum of 24 credit hours taken at the University. Latin Honors are calculated based on your cumulative GPA at the end of the semester preceding your Commencement.

All graduates receiving honors will be cited in the Commencement program.

Nursing graduates who are members of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society may wear the Sigma Theta Tau honor cord, which can be purchased directly from the organization. Contact your program office for further information.

Questions regarding diplomas and the honors policy should be addressed to the Office of the Registrar.
