What are walk-through forms? |
Walk-through forms are for students unable to complete their degrees in the spring term. It means you can participate in the ceremony but you will not obtain your degree until you graduate. See your department for the specifics, if you qualify and to obtain a walk-through form. These forms can be submitted to SAS up until the Friday before commencement. |

How many tickets do I get for commencement? |
Four tickets are given to each student who purchases a cap and gown.
ADDITIONAL TICKETS
Additional tickets for each ceremony may become available for graduating students beginning Monday, June 7. They will be distributed in the University City Main Campus DragonCard office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., on the presentation of your DragonCard. These tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and you will only be offered tickets for your ceremony. |
| I need a letter for my VISA status; how do I obtain such a letter? |
Students who wish family and friends to attend Commencement can need letters of proof of attendance especially if people are coming from foreign countries. A student must be a degree candidate for spring or a graduate from the past summer, fall or winter terms. Send an e-mail to opermail@drexel.edu include your name and address to use in writing the letter as well as your telephone number. The letter will be available the next business day and available for pick up in the front area of SAS. |

Why are final exams scheduled on Saturday on final exams week? |
Final exams week (including Saturday) IS considered part of the term. Often the only way to reduce conflicts for students is to extend the scheduling of exams into Saturday. Students and faculty should not make plans to leave the University prior to the last day of exams. |

What is the web site URL for commencement? |
http://www.drexel.edu/commencement is the address for all commencement information. Each Spring the information is updated to reflect the coming ceremonies. All commencement ceremonies are webcast live, and later archived on the web. |

How do I know if I am cleared for graduation? |
The academic departments and colleges have clearing representatives who will clear you academically for graduation. Contact your specific department to inquire if you have been cleared. If you have any holds on your record you will not receive a diploma until the hold is removed. Contact the specific department who has placed the hold to get information. |

What is the address for diploma mailing? |
Diplomas not picked up will be mailed to the student's permanent address on record. If this address needs to be changed, please supply SAS with a valid mailing address prior to graduation. Send corrections or changes to opermail@drexel.edu. Diplomas will not be released to students who have outstanding financial obligations to the University. Diploma mailing for those who do not pick up will be June 28 and 29. |

| Where do I make my cap and gown purchase? |
Cap and gown purchase may be made at the Drexel bookstore from May 17 to June 4. You must have an application for degree on the system to purchase the cap and gown. Students will receive four tickets at that time for commencement ceremony. All guests must have tickets. |
| What if I need a VISA Letter for guests to attend commencement ceremony? |
Come to the SAS Office in the Main Building to request VISA letter. Letter will be done and left in the SAS pick up area within two days. |

Check with your academic department. |
| Where do I get a 'Credit by Exam' form? |
Come into one of the three SAS centers for a form. Bring to the department you require 'Credit by Exam' from. Return form to SAS after it has been filled out. |
| When are diploma distribution days? |
On June 12, diplomas for the Commencement ceremonies can be picked up between 11 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. On June 14-24 pick up of diplomas will be at the SAS Office in the Main Building. |
| What if there is a 'hold' on my diploma? |
No diploma can be released if there are unresolved financial obligations by a student. |
| How do I obtain a 'proof of candidacy' letter? |
Come to SAS Office to request letter. The letter will be left in the SAS pick-up area within two days. |
| What is the 'Commencement Hotline' phone number? |

| What is 'Senior Privilege?' |
Senior Privilege affords a student a one-time opportunity to make up a failing grade in a required course by taking an additional final examination. Please refer to the Senior Privilege policy in the University catalog. Senior Privilege does not exempt students from attending class and/or taking final exams in courses for which they are enrolled during the last term of their senior year. |
| How do I obtain 'Senior Privilege?' |
Come into on of the three SAS centers to complete an Inquiry Form and pay a $100 fee. Student must provide SAS with a telephone number and an e-mail address. Student will be informed in 24 hours if eligible for Senior Privilege. If eligible, return to SAS pick up Senior Privilege form. |
