The STAR (Students Tackling Advanced Research) Scholars program is a University initiative designed to stimulate intellectual inquiry and creative accomplishments for academically talented students at Drexel University. The STAR Scholars program is administered by the Office of Undergraduate Research, a department of the Pennoni Honors College.
The STAR Scholars program strives to enhance the academic experience of first-year, high-achieving college students by providing mentored research or creative opportunities that will engage them in their undergraduate program of study and prepare them for postgraduate education. During the summer between their first and second years, STAR Scholars conduct a full-time, 10-week, self-selected, faculty-mentored project. After completing their work, students present their findings to Drexel faculty members and peers to receive constructive and positive feedback so that they can continue to build upon their work and present it at local, regional, national, and even international conferences.
Deadline to apply: March 7, 2014
This application is for students accepted to start as Drexel freshmen in Fall 2014 to participate in STAR during Summer 2015.
